The Louisiana Book Festival is back. I'll be there again this year with the long awaited book 4 of Samantha Cain Mystery series and others. I hope to see you there. You don't want to miss the fun and excitement: music, food, books galore, and activities.
An annual authors and readers event at Central school in Lake Charles, put on by Bayou Writers' Group. I'll be there with my newest addition to my fiction novels -- a young adult fiction -Chasing the Lights - Bk 1 of Cooper Parks adventures. For grades middle school through high school. Cooper Parks, editor of school paper, is a junior in high school. His best friend, Bailee Reed, a junior, does the photography for the paper. They make a great team. Hope to see you there.

Do's and Don'ts for aspiring novelist. Join us Setember 24th at the Jones Creek Library from 2pm to 4pm.
Deborah enjoys writing inspirational fiction, romance, mystery, and suspense. Her newest novel HIDDEN SECRETS deals with love and faith as a guide through the hard choices of an abusive marriage. Other novels include AFTER YOU'RE GONE, a romance that will take you from coast to coast; and BAYOU SECRETS, a collection of three suspenseful mysteries set in the Bayou area. We have several of her novels at the library including her Samantha Cain Mystery Series and her hit Crime in The Big Easy. The Central School for Arts & Humanities in Lake Charles will hose it's third annual Southwest Louisiana Family Book Festival on Wednesday, February 20th, from 10 AM to 2 PM.
The literature festival is geared to all ages and will highlight books from Louisiana and East Texas. There will be book sales, face painting, storytelling, arts and crafts, food and local author meets-and-greets. The event is free and open to the public. I hope to see you there.

The Slidell Spring Antique Street Fair, a 2 day affair, will be held for their 35th year in a row. Fun Food & Activites. Over 25,000 people attend their festival.
There will be pony rides for the kiddies as well as plenty of food for us all. Antiques, collectibles, fine art, fine crafts, crafts, and homegrown products will be available for viewing and purchase abilities. What a great way to spend a beautiful spring day! See you there!
